What’s NEW
Well, the Galaxy A16 is IP54 water—and dust-resistant, which we didn’t see in the previous model. Also, it has 6 years of software support, which is an attainment for users who prefer longevity. So, particularly in this case, Samsung deserves a thumbs-up.
What Has Remained the SAME
Compared with the older version, the A16 has not upgraded in its camera section. We have seen the same 50-5-2 MP for the main sensors for its rear and 13 MP for the front.
The body and design remained the same, though the Galaxy A16 display size is bigger. However, the display type and protection system remained the same.
We also saw the same 5000 mAh battery with a 25W wired charging system. However, no adapter is present in the box.
Also, we have got the same connectivity system as A15.
What are the PROS
Samsung’s 6-year Android upgrade promise is an attainment for Samsung lovers. So, if you are looking for a phone with longevity, then this should be your best choice at this price. Plus, the inclusion of IP54 ratings, which was absent in the previous model, made this device more durable. The versatile camera of the A16 is surely a gem on this budget. It generates a way better picture than the older model. Also, the Dimensity 6300 chipset will cover your day-to-day needs.
What are the CONS
What we do not like about Galaxy A16 is its massive lower chin. Plus, the U-shaped front camera design looks aberrant and doesn’t suit this age’s smartphones. And like the A15, this device also doesn’t support HDR, which is a minus point for Samsung as many devices in this price range provide this feature.
Lastly, the battery performance could have been better as it failed to keep the same quality we got from A15.
Final Verdict
After the overall analysis, we can say that the Galaxy A16 is slightly better than the Galaxy A15. So, if you are an A15 user, we recommend not to go for the A16 but to wait for the A17 or A18 to come.
